I think that it is important to always stay fresh as an architect, even if rehashing old and retrograde ideas into today’s context. This applies to buildings and relationships of all interactive elements. My passion is building systems that work with people in a highly engaging and comfortable environment across all scales, from drinking top class coffee to lounging in the swankiest setting.
I believe the answer is found in daily life with having fresh eyes and critiquing constantly from different viewpoints.
For example, I find back alleys just as interesting as shop fronts as repetition creates a certain order out of the chaos of unintended mess.
With the aspiration to enhance the human environment, “new architecture” finds its answers in contributing to ordinary life.
